Born in Japan, Dr. Lee shares her love of traveling due to her fond childhood memories of living in South Korea and Silicon Valley, California.
She attended the University of California, San Diego where she received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biochemistry and Cell Biology with Cum Laude Honors. Missing the four seasons, she moved to the East Coast where she obtained her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from University of Pennsylvania with honors in Community Service work. Continuing to hone her skills, Dr. Lee then went on to general dentistry residency at University of Pacific in San Francisco, which emphasized hospital dentistry and treatment of medically complex and special needs patients of all ages. Finding her passion for educating oral health to children, Dr. Lee reached her apex of dentistry by specializing in pediatric dentistry at New York University.
Based on her own great experiences at the dental office as a child, Dr. Lee looks forward to impacting children to develop healthy, lifelong oral habits. With that in mind, she not only volunteers locally but also internationally in Nepal and Japan, to name a few.
As an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, New York County Dental Society, and American Dental Association, she continuously works to improve not only her dental skills but also her communication skills to patients and parents alike. She has been repeatedly praised for her gentle touch and empathetic chairside manner with children and their families.
In her spare time, Dr. Lee enjoys cultural immersion through visiting different museums, cooking, and watching movies, especially those involving superheroes!
