Dr. Donna was born in New York but grew up in China until she moved to Hazleton, Pennsylvania at the age of seven. She graduated valedictorian of her high school, received her BA in Biological Basis of Behavior from the University of Pennsylvania, and her DDS from Columbia University College of Dental Medicine. Dr. Donna completed a two-year specialty residency program in pediatric dentistry at Stony Brook University Hospital.
As a child, Dr. Donna did not have proper access to dental care, but she was diligent about hygiene. As a result, her first dental visit wasn’t until her late teens when she had her first cavity. Even at an older age, she remembers how intimating dental visits can be. Dr. Donna strives to eliminate anxiety and make dental visits fun for children of all ages. She is a proponent of preventative dental care and firmly believes in educating patients and parents about establishing a healthy diet and oral hygiene habits at a young age.
In her spare time, Dr. Donna enjoys yoga, playing tennis, cooking, baking, and spending time with her husband and her adorable fluffy Samoyed dog, Yuzu!
